Macaulley is a classically trained cellist and music educator of ten years. She has taught general music and string orchestra in grades pre-k through high school, holding professional teaching licenses in Minnesota and Massachusetts, certifications in Orff-Schulwerk, and trainings in Kolday, Dalcroze and Responsive Classroom. Currently living and working in Boston, Massachusetts, Macaulley teaches early childhood music and strings at the Conservatory Lab Charter school. She also regularly plays with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra, gigs for weddings and pit orchestra in the area.

Macaulley has a MA in Music Education from the Longy School of Music and a BA in music education from Luther College.
